INSTALLATION
A moderate DIY task for anyone comfortable working around mains voltage, confirm power is disconnected and the old capacitor is discharged before handling.
PRO TIPS
- Always discharge a capacitor before touching its terminals, even after unplugging the machine, a start capacitor can hold a genuinely unpleasant shock long after power is cut.
- Match the µF rating exactly; don't substitute a higher or lower microfarad value even if the physical size and terminals match, or you'll get a motor that struggles to start or runs hot.
