Our 2018 Vespertine Zinfandel grown in Lodi, Clarksburg and Paso Robles, live in moderately warm climates, allowing for optimum ripeness.
The aroma is a combination of mixed berry pie filling, molasses, and toasted coconut. The mouth shows flavors of blackberry, spicy cherry, red raspberry, coconut cream, and hints of cardamom and white pepper. The finish has some of the signature brambly notes of Zinfandel with just a touch of sweet leather with more layers of vanilla and coconut from American Oak aging.
Time to heat up with grill for this Zinfandel because you are going to want smoked barbecue ribs, grilled chicken with a heavy sauce, or a pork tenderloin to balance the sweet yet heaviness of this wine.
