2020 Rotondo Friulano D.O.C.

Dry, elegant, and balanced, 2020 Rotondo Friulano D.O.C. is from a region in Northeast Italy celebrated for producing white wines with fresh acidity. Straw yellow with green highlights that hint at its minerality, this Friulano is dry and light-bodied. Its charming bouquet displays wildflowers with subtle hints of almond, while delicate fruits like grapefruit join florals on the palate. Sometimes mistaken for Sauvignon Blanc, Friulano calls the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region home. This wine is presented by the Cargnelutti family, which has been making wine since 1960 while using traditional techniques rooted in Friuli tradition. Best served chilled, Rotondo Friulano is delightful as an aperitif and will pair nicely with fish or white meats and green vegetables. We recommend trying it with prosciutto, pan-fried white fish, roast chicken with thyme, and roasted brussel sprouts.
