3/8" Safety Valve - 1.8 Bar

A CE/PED-certified boiler safety valve, calibrated to release at 1.8 bar with a 77 kg/h steam outlet flow rate and an FKM seal rated for -20°C to +200°C, this is the current design used on newer Nuova Simonelli equipment.

COMPATIBILITY

INSTALLATION

A moderate task best left to a technician, since it's working on a pressurized boiler fitting, you may also need the retro-fit kit if you're upgrading from an older-style model.

PRO TIPS

• This male-thread design replaced the older female-thread S_55, if your boiler port is tapped for the old style, don't force this one in; order the retro-fit kit instead, which is built for exactly this swap.
• A safety valve that weeps or won't reseat cleanly after venting is not something to leave "for now", it's a pressure-relief device, and a valve that won't hold calibration is a legitimate safety issue, not just a maintenance nicety.
