• Norwegian aquavit produced by The Norwegian Distillery in Grimstad, Norway • Botanicals include caraway, star anise, and citrus • Base spirit of 100% Norwegian potato distillate • Copper pot distilled • Aged at least 8 months in ex–Oloroso sherry casks; non-age statement • Caraway greets the nose along with notes of orange peel, apple skin, and a touch of vanilla, preceding a lively palate bursting with apricot and caraway spice over well-integrated notes of fennel, coriander, raisin, and dry oak • 40% ABV Produced in accordance with the Norwegian aquavit denomination of origin, Høvding aquavit is crafted from a base of 100% Norwegian potato spirit, aromatized with caraway, star anise, and citrus, and aged in ex–Oloroso sherry casks. Caraway-forward with notes of fennel, vanilla, and lightly oxidized fruit, Høvding is best enjoyed served at room temperature without ice in a tulip glass or in cocktails such as a Trident.
