Using some pretty serious AVA’s, Mark Herold and Massimo Monticelli have somehow created one of the best values in Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 75% Napa Cabernet and 25% Moon Mountain Cabernet from Sonoma, this co-mingling of the two regions makes us wonder why it’s not seen more often. Big fruit on the nose, with blackberries, blueberries, violets and ripe plums. Medium weight on the palate with a drying finish that seems to get better and better with every sip.
