The Tun series was conceived by Malt Master David Stewart, who was so inspired by the magical atmosphere inside Warehouse 24, that he wanted to capture the essence of it in a bottle. This was achieved by marrying selected casks from the warehouse in a large wooden vat (or "Tun"), for a period of three months, and each batch has its own unique characteristics depending on the cask selection used. Nine American Oak casks and three European Oak Sherry casks were used to create Batch #8, which was destined for the UK, Canada and Australia.
