OVERVIEW: “(Inaugural vintage) Sourced from carefully selected parcels across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this white wine draws primarily on Clairette Blanche and Clairette Rose, supported by Roussanne and Grenache Blanc, with key sites including Piedlong and the cooler northern slopes such as Palestor, where soils and exposure favor freshness, finesse, and mineral tension. In the cellar, Julien Barrot pursues a precise, textural approach, blending the varieties after fermentation and aging the wine for an extended period on fine lees in a combination of demi-muid barrels and concrete eggs to build depth, energy, and seamless balance without heaviness.”
