Rich and decadent, created from a complex blend of rums from Guyana, Barbados and Jamaica, further matured in PX and Oloroso sherry casks, and through Black Tot's authentic solera.
THE BLEND
GUYANA: A pot & column still rum, with heavier notes of tonka bean, chocolate and liquorice.
BARBADOS: Famous for elegant notes of tropical fruits, vanilla, and coconut.
JAMAICA: A pot still rum with distinctive funk-driven, tropical fruit characteristics.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Initially, notes of rum and raisin, fudge and chocolate-covered cappuccino create an unctuous feel. Dried cranberries and red currants are combined with toasted cinnamon sticks and light ginger. With time, sultanas, dark chocolate, and hints of cardamom spice come through.
Palate: Thick and coating with flavours of nut milk chocolate, ripe figs, and orange oil. Hints of espresso coffee complement the sweetness while pink grapefruit and lemon oil build around the heady notes of sultanas, plums and baked banana. The tropical fruit continues to build, along with a rich sweetness akin to Chantilly cream, with a dark chocolate drizzle
Finish: A pleasing dryness carrying some of the light spice of nutmeg and ground cinnamon, while the flavour of currents and sultanas continues to linger.
