The BWT bestsave limescale protection pad is an efficient filter fleece pad for water optimisation. The pad consists of a high-performance ion exchanger with integrated activated carbon and hygiene protection. Thus, it offers the perfect basic protection for your coffee machine with water tank.

How it works:

The food-safe ion exchanger binds excess calcium ions in the water and thus prevents the binding of calcium carbonate, which leads to limescale deposits. The pad is made of hygienic fleece and also ensures optimal flow and fast filtration. In addition to limescale, taste-disturbing substances such as chlorine and heavy metals such as copper and zinc, which can come from your pipes, are also filtered out of the water.

The handling is very simple. Rinse the pad briefly under running water before use and place it on the bottom of the water tank. Now you should wait 8 to 10 hours. The fleece needs this time to remove the calcium ions (lime) from the raw water. We therefore recommend that you carry out this water optimisation process overnight.

The Limescale Protection Pad S is suitable for water tanks with a volume of 0.5-1.5L. It has an approximate filter capacity of 50L at a water hardness of 10°dH. For hyhienic reasons, however, you should change the pad after 2 months at the latest.
