Chateau de Laubade Armagnac L'Unique #3

The third edition of the "L’Unique" series by Château de Laubade offers a rare and exclusive experience, crafted from the unique grape variety "Plant de Graisse." With only 39.5 acres of this grape cultivated worldwide, its scarcity underscores the importance of preserving the diversity of the Bas Armagnac terroir. Since 1997, Château de Laubade has devoted 3.5 acres of its vineyard to cultivating this rare varietal, employing sustainable farming practices and organic fertilizers to nurture the vines.

Harvested and distilled in 2006, the resulting eau-de-vie has matured gracefully over 15 years in Gascogne oak barrels before being bottled in 2022. This special release represents a blend of just two barrels, carefully selected to showcase the unique characteristics of the Plant de Graisse grape. Bottled at 92.6 proof and without chill filtration, each sip offers a glimpse into the exceptional quality and terroir-driven flavors of this limited-edition Bas Armagnac.
