90pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2024 Pinot Noir from Cloudline, made by Domaine Drouhin Oregon, is easy to drink and a great value. It has inviting aromas of raspberry, strawberry, tangerine peel, forest floor and earth. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with fragrant berry fruit. It has a softly chalky frame, refreshing acidity and a satisfying, flavorful finish. 68,040 cases produced.

Winemaker Notes

The Cloudline Pinot Noir's lustrous garnet color is immediately striking, and aromatics of summery red cherry, red plum, and light warm spice characters leap from the glass. The palate is fresh and fruit-driven to the core.

Blend: 100% Pinot Noir

In the Willamette Valley, an arid and warm spring led to an even warmer, drier summer with notable heat spikes. The vines remained healthy, and as temperatures cooled in mid-September, harvest was able to stretch out over three smooth weeks, ending in early October. After a dramatic growing season, the vines delivered grapes with complex flavors, incredible balance, and layers of elegance.

Winery Notes

Cloudline Cellars represents a first for Dreyfus, Ashby--their own wine. Given their love for Pinot Noir and their long history developing Domaine Drouhin Oregon and other fine wines, it's probably not surprising that they've chosen Oregon's Willamette Valley as the home for this exciting project.

The goal is very specific: to create the best, most delicious and consistent value in Oregon Pinot Noir today. They are fortunate to have access to top sources, growers and vintners who understand and support what Dreyfus, Ashby is trying to accomplish. They have also enlisted the expertise of Veronique Drouhin-Boss, who has graciously agreed to be the consulting winemaker, or more appropriately, their "reference palate." In practical terms, she makes sure the quality never wavers.

Sourced from some of the finest vineyards in Oregon.
