Creag Dhu is an exceptional single malt Speyside whisky, inherently connected to nature, the mountains and the preservation of the peatlands – nature’s great carbon store. The quality of the whisky starts with the selection of the finest barley followed by the perfected mashing and distilling processes. But the key to the exceptional flavour profile is the specially selected casks and how they are toasted and charred. Creag Dhu is a very traditional whisky made by head distiller Chris Molyneaux in partnership with a Speyside distillery using time-honoured Scotch whisky distilling techniques that have not changed for centuries. The whisky is then aged for a minimum of eight years.
Nose: A beautiful note of malt, with toffee apple and a touch of smoke.
Palate: Medium-bodied, with notes of date and walnut cake, spicy caramel and Oloroso sherry.
Finish: Spicy with a warm and long finish.
