Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers and their independent bottling arm, Càrn Mòr, is solely owned and operated by members of Scotland’s oldest and most prominent whisky families, Jamie and Brian Morrison. Over five generations the Morrison family has been involved in the whisky business including grocers, brokers, blenders, bottlers and distillers.
Longmorn Distillery dates back to 1893 and has been a staple of blended whiskies like Dewar's and Vat 69 owing to its sweet and fruity nature. Long fermentation and distillation gives it the weightiness to age well in both ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks. This Whisky Drop exclusive was bottled at natural cask strength and is non-coloured and non-chill filtered. Total worldwide outturn: 237 bottles.
Nose: Lemon cake, green apples, vanilla bean and pencil shavings.
Palate: Characteristic Longmorn intense fruitiness. Lemon cordial and gentle tannins add structure.
Finish: Medium, with lingering citrus notes.
