El Gran Legado De Vida’s ultra-premium Añejo Tequila is crafted with the finest single estate agaves from Michoacán, carefully cooked using steam injection at Cascahuin to preserve the natural agave flavors. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by a meticulous double distillation process. The first distillation occurs in a stainless steel alembic still with a copper coil, while the second distillation takes place in a traditional copper alembic still, raising the tequila to 55% ABV. After being proofed with deep well water from the distillery, the tequila is aged for 18 months in a unique blend of American oak ex-bourbon, Sherry cask, and French oak ex-Cognac Martell VSOP barrels. The result is a rich, complex spirit, bottled by hand at 43% ABV, representing the brand's first Añejo release and a new chapter in the El Gran Legado De Vida’s premium collection.
