Enmascarado Mezcal is a brand from Mezcales Milagrito, a restaurant and spirits group based in Mexico City.
The Enmascarado, or 'Masked Hero,' is a 100% de Agave Espadin mezcal that is committed to the traditional, hand-crafted style that has not changed for over 400 years.
The agave is cooked in a traditional stone horno (earthen oven) and double-distilled in a copper still. Spring water is used to proof the spirit down to 45% ABV.
Nose: Citrus, caramel and distinctive Applewood charcoal.
Palate: Applewood smoke carries from the nose, as do the citrus notes, with salt water taffy on the back palate.
Finish: Flavours carry through to a long finish.
