Douglas Hyde was the first president of Ireland. This single malt Irish whiskey from the fine folks at Hibernia Distillers was named in his honor, a celebration of Irish independence. The spirit was triple-distilled in Coffey stills. This bottling was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for ten years before being finished in Olorosso Sherry Casks, resulting in a lovely mature Irish style whiskey with a very smooth finish and notes of Caramel, peach, and apricot. Winner of a double gold medal and the “Best Single Malt Irish Whiskey” award.
