J.A. Baczewski Single Malt Whisky 70cl / 45%

Eight years of aging, vintage, batch number on the bottle, French red wine barrels. The design of Tomasz Lachowski's label refers to pre-war Baczewski whisky. The smell is very intense, malty, sweet, like caramel malts, a lot of vanilla, toffee, in the background a note of mineral and allspice, as well as slightly smoky, but not peaty, rather like smoke from a fire. In the mouth a lot of raw wood, roasted grain, still malt, but not so sweet, notes of fruit and nuts and dried fruit, dried apricots, cinnamon, a lot of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and gingerbread. In the end, the gingerbread spices are accompanied by vanilla and pepper, as if it were a rye whiskey barrel, not red wine. It warms up, it feels as if it had more than the declared 45%.

🇵🇱 Osiem lat leżakowania rocznikowane, numer partii na butelce, beczki po czerwonym francuskim winie. Projekt etykiety Tomasza Lachowskiego nawiązuje do przedwojennych whisky Baczewskiego. Zapach bardzo intensywnie słodowy, słodki, jak słody karmelowe, dużo wanilii, toffie, w tle nuta mineralna i ziela angielskiego, a także delikatnie dymna, ale nie torfowa, raczej jak dym z ogniska. W ustach bardzo dużo surowego drewna, prażone ziarno, wciąż słód, ale już nie tak słodki, nuty owocowo-bakaliowe, suszone morele, cynamon, dużo cynamonu, gałka muszkatołowa, goździki pierniki. W finiszu do piernikowych przypraw dochodzą wanilia i pieprz, jakby to była beczka po rye whiskey, nie po winie czerwonym. Rozgrzewa, jest wrażenie jakby miała więcej niż deklarowane 45%.
