Jack Daniel’s 10 Year Old Tennessee Whiskey Batch 4
Crafted Through Time, Aged to Perfection

For the first time in a century, Jack Daniel’s continues its journey into aged-stated whiskey with Batch 4 of the 10-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey. Carefully nurtured in the extreme conditions of the Buzzard’s Roost and later relocated to lower ricks to slow maturation, this release reflects Jack Daniel’s evolution of aging and whiskey craftsmanship. After 10 long summers in handmade American oak barrels, the result is a Tennessee Whiskey with remarkable depth, warmth, and an incredibly smooth finish.

Process & Profile

  • Mash Bill: 80% Corn, 12% Malted Barley, 8% Rye

  • Aging: 10 Years in new American oak barrels

  • Barrel Location: Aged in upper “Buzzard’s Roost” floors, later moved to lower floors to extend aging

  • Proof: 97 Proof

  • Batch: 4

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Warm butterscotch, toasted oak, and soft fruit

  • Palate: Ripe stone fruit, subtle vanilla, and hints of baking spice

  • Finish: Incredibly long and elegant with sweet tobacco and a mellow spice that lingers

What Makes It Special?

  • Pairing Suggestions – Pairs beautifully with roasted nuts, apple pie, or dark chocolate

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. Is this a limited edition?
Yes, each batch is a small release. Batch 4 continues the rare aged-stated series from Jack Daniel’s.

  2. How does this differ from the 12 and 14-year releases?
The 10-year balances long aging with accessibility, offering a mellowed intensity and softer finish.

  3. Why age in multiple rickhouse locations?
Moving barrels slows down or enhances aging depending on placement, creating more complexity over time.

  4. Is this charcoal mellowed?
Yes, this release follows the traditional Lincoln County Process for smoothness.

  5. What proof is Batch 4?
The specific proof for Batch 4 is typically released on the bottle label and may vary slightly by release.
