The Macallan Edition No. 2, the second expression in the Edition Series, is born from a collaboration between Macallan and El Celler de Can Roca, twice voted the best restaurant in the world. Macallan's Master Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno, and the Roca Brothers, Joseph, Joan and Jordi Roca, each selected a cask that was used to create this blend.
Bob Dalgarno picked the Tevasa cask, which imparts dried fruit and sherry notes.
Joseph Roca, the sommelier, selected Jose Miguel martin casks with spicy ginger notes.
Joan Roca, head chef, picked the rich green wood and toffee flavors of the Diego Martin casks.
And pastry chef Jordi Roca went with the light vanilla and citrus notes of the Vasyma American Oak casks.
This edition is bottled at 48.2% ABV and if the Edition 1 is any indication, should be a best seller as well!
