Commercial Description:
A blend of eaux-de-vie aged between 4/5 and 12 years, according to its creator, the Merlet house, this is the perfect way to savour a Cognac in a relaxed, unostentatious manner. We couldn’t agree more. The quality of Merlet’s fruit liqueurs are renowned.
Tasting Notes:
Nose : rich, concentrated. Citrus fruits and dried fruits (apricot) intertwine in a sensation of rancio. Sweet spices (cinnamon, ginger) add an extra dose of liveliness.
Palate : rich, round. Ripe fruits (apple, peach) are juicy and fleshy, with a delicate woody aspect surrounding them. It develops aromas of lime blossom honey and balsamic notes (eucalyptus, cedar).
Overall : long, saline. The balance struck between fruity and vegetal notes here is perfect. Develops aromas of leather and apricot coulis. The retro-nasal olfaction is airy and fresh.
