Built on the site of the original public gallows, Glen Moray began life as a brewery in 1828. In 1897, it was converted to a distillery and proceeded to have several changes of ownership and slump-induced shutdowns for the next 100 years.
Glen Moray is now part of drinks giant La Martiniquaise's portfolio, which increased output by 40% to support their existing blends along with Glen Moray core-line single malts.
The Moonbroch Glen Moray 2013 is a 9-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside and was released as part of the Spaceman series.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Freshly sanded oak, Turkish delight, and fondant.
Palate: Glazed danishes, frothed milk and toasted oak
Finish: Sweet, mellow, and inviting.
