Morris is crafted using 100% locally sourced ingredients and is finished in fortified wine barrels. With hot days and cool nights, Morris claims that Australia’s climate allows the liquid to mature faster than whiskies aged in cooler climates, allowing for richer and more robust flavors to develop in a shorter time.
Aged for a minimum of three years in ex-wine barrels and bottled at 44% ABV, MTasting note: Morris’ Signature bottling is matured in the winery’s award winning fortified wine barrels. Deep gold. Delicately aromatic, in the tradition of lighter Scotch blends – muesli, grain store, sprinklings of pepper and subtle dried fruit notes. Good mouthfeel and body at this lower strength with sweet, toasted cereals followed by choc ripple biscuit and lively spices. The aftertaste offers hints of dried fruit and toasted oak. Elegant and well balanced. Tastes mature beyond its years.
