Numanthia Termes Toro 2021 is a bold Spanish red from Toro, Castilla y León, crafted exclusively from 100% Tinta de Toro grown on organically dry-farmed vines aged 30 to 50 years. Hand-harvested and aged 16 months in French oak, this 14.5% alcohol wine captures the power and purity of its origin. The intense cherry-red color with ruby reflections hints at the depth waiting in every glass.
Aromas of ripe black fruits rise first, layered with black pepper, clove, rosemary, cistus, and a touch of black liquorice. The palate is ample and serious, unfolding with dark berries, light smoke, toffee, and flint. Silky yet structured, it finishes long and fresh. Serve at 16°C alongside grilled octopus, slow-cooked beef stew, or even raspberry cheesecake, or cellar confidently for up to 15 years.
