The word "Oban" already means "little bay" in Scots Gaelic, making Little Bay something of a doubly appropriate name for this NAS expression from one of Scotland's most beloved coastal distilleries. Whisky matured individually in refill American oak hogsheads, ex-European oak sherry hogsheads, and refill casks with new ends is blended and then married further in 200-liter former bourbon barrels — the smallest casks the distillery uses — creating a whisky with more wood contact and a distinctly different character from the flagship 14 Year.
