Old Forester 1897: This expression adheres to the US Bottled in Bond standards established in 1897. The magical “Bottled in Bond” level of 100 proof yields a bourbon with significantly more character and complexity. 50% ABV
Old Forester 1910: In 1910, a fire on the bottling line halted the production of Old Forester. Mature whisky that was ready to be bottled was instead transferred and stored in a secondary barrel. What emerged from that second barreling was a delightful whisky, remarkable enough to become an entirely new expression. 46.5% ABV
Old Forester 1920: Brown-Forman was one of the six distilleries able to continue distilling whiskey for “medicinal purposes” during Prohibition. This sturdy 115-proof whisky represents what apparently would have been barrel proof in 1920. 57.5% ABV
