Remy Martin Cognac XO Excellence is a unique cognac which celebrates heritage and tradition. This extraordinary spirit’s name, 1738 Royale, commemorates the year in which King Louis XV of France granted Monsieur Remy Martin permission to plant a new vineyard. This remarkable event was significant because it was strictly forbidden at the time, making it a great honor and privilege for Remy Martin. The vineyard began producing Eaux-de-vie fourteen years later, adhering to Cognac production regulations which mandate aging in both new and neutral French oak barrels. The blend of Remy Martin 1738 Royale includes brandy aged as little as four years and as old as twenty, with an average age of twelve, reflecting the brand's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
