Ron Centenario's 30 Year Edición Limitada is the top of the brand's Solera-aged lineup, blending rums matured up to 30 years in predominantly ex-Bourbon charred American white oak casks. It's worth understanding what "Solera" actually means here, though: unlike a true age-stated rum, only the oldest component in the blend needs to hit 30 years, with younger rum continuously cycled in beneath it — a legitimate traditional method, but one that means the exact age of what's in your glass is more nuanced than the number on the label suggests.
