A bouquet of sweet caramel, oaken vanilla and cane appear briefly before heavier sweet aromas fill your nose, with scents of caramelized maple sugar, thick pie crust, a mild earthiness like leather. The initial taste is drier on entry than the aromas would lead you to expect, more like honey and nuts, adding a complex turn from the carmelized sugar sweetness of the nose. Mild spiciness like nutmeg, some clean fresh oak woodiness and dry thin leather are also apparent.
