Stainless steel tamper with wooden handle - Motta
Consists of a screw-on handle and a lower part.
The lower part is made of stainless steel and has concentric corrugations. These ensure a better tamping effect. The wooden handle is designed to provide a good grip.
It is part of Motta's "Competition Series", which means that this tamper is used by baristas in international competitions. Coffee tampers are essential tools for the correct preparation of espresso. To ensure that sufficient pressure is built up in the filter holder and that the water does not flow through too quickly, the coffee grinds are compressed in the filter holder by the pressure exerted by the tamper.
