“An Ard Ri” – “The High King” in Gaelic – is an expertly crafted blend of over 20 single malt whisky casks from the Highlands. Each cask is curated at a young age and tendered by  the patient hands of our master blender until reaching perfection. These whiskies are tasted  individually many times until each cask’s matura-tion is complete. The result is a harmonious blend with depth, finesse, and structure – a true high king of the Scotch whisky world.
Our “An Ard Ri” – a combination of only single malt whiskies from with no grain added to soften its power. This exemplary offering is blended and bottled at a cask strength of 57.1%,  capturing the true essence of Scotch whisky. The  final blend is married and finished in sherry casks for an additional layer of flavor. Crafted from a variety of aged malts, the oldest of which is 21 Years of age, our “An Ard Ri” carries a long and  textured finish that will satisfy any whisky drinker.
Upon nosing, notes of rich pipe tobacco and freshly tanned leather dominate the senses –  candied figs and plums balance nicely with the mild smoke. The palette entertains with spicy  cinnamon and warm, baked pears, along with a  tannic edge and deep dark chocolate sweetness. The  finish is luxurious and polished – surprising for a blend malt at cask strength.
