The Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Scapa 2000 Cask #1105 was distilled in the year 2000 and 100% aged in a refill sherry hogshead.
Peak maturity, as determined by G&M staff, was reached in 2024, so the hogshead was cracked open, yielding a small outturn worldwide.

Nose: Aromas of stewed fruit and lemon peel give way to sweet brown sugar. A hint of banana develops, accompanied by cinnamon and toasted hazelnuts.
Palate: Sweet sultanas and Medjool dates give way to subtle gingerbread. Toffee apples come to the fore alongside malted biscuits.
Finish: A medium-bodied finish with lingering spice and sweet, treacly toffee notes.
