History
Mossburn Single Malt Scotch Macduff Distillery Vintage Casks No. 12 10 Year is a unique spirit crafted as the twelfth release in Mossburn's Vintage Casks range. Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles. Mossburn Distillers & Blenders is a brand new Scotch whisky project owned by Marussia Beverages, headquartered in Jedburgh, Scottish Borders, on the site of the former Jedforest Hotel. It is one of the first new distilleries to be built in the Borders for over 180 years. The first phase of development includes the construction of the Jedhart Distillery, featuring three copper stills and five warehouses for pallets and casks, along with a small cafe. The second phase will see the establishment of the Mossburn Distillery and visitor center, designed to produce up to 25 million liters of spirit annually, complemented by a larger cafe and restaurant. While awaiting the maturation of their own whisky, which requires at least three years, Mossburn has initiated a collection of single malt whiskies and two blended malts with bespoke cask bills, including offerings from renowned distilleries such as Ardmore, Blair Atholl, and Craigellachie.
